Toxic English Version: What Changed in Yash’s Movie?

Yash’s latest film Toxic, which failed to make an impact at the Indian box office, is now set for another theatrical outing in its English version. The film, directed by Geetu Mohandas, will be released in English across Indian theatres on September 4.

The high-budget movie opened to largely negative reactions and struggled commercially from its first day. Despite considerable expectations surrounding Yash’s project, Toxic could not connect with audiences and eventually emerged as a major box-office disappointment in India.

However, the film is getting a separate release for international and English-speaking audiences. The English version was released in overseas markets on August 26 and is scheduled to arrive in Indian theatres on September 4.

English Version Has a Shorter Runtime

According to the makers, the English cut of Toxic has a runtime of 2 hours and 57 minutes. This is around 17 minutes shorter than the original version.

The shorter duration has led to curiosity among Yash’s fans about what changes have been made to the film. The producers, however, have not officially revealed which scenes or portions have been removed from the English cut.

Have Songs Been Removed?

There is speculation that songs such as Tabahi and Madhosh could have been trimmed or removed from the English version. However, the filmmakers have not confirmed these reports.

As a result, fans will have to wait until the English version reaches Indian theatres to find out exactly how the new cut differs from the original release.

Star-Studded Cast

Toxic features Yash in the lead role, with several prominent actresses playing important characters. The cast includes Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.

With the English version now arriving in India, it remains to be seen whether the shorter cut will receive a different response from audiences compared with the original theatrical release.
