No Agnyaathavaasi Premiere Shows in Telangana

Hyderabad: Even as thousands of Pawan Kalyan's fans started gathering at theaters on Tuesday to grab a ticket or two for Power Star's Agnyaathavaasi premiere show scheduled from the wee hours of Wednesday, the Telangana police has denied permission for any such show.

The Hyderabad City Police Commissionerate, Cyberabad and Rachakonda commissionerates issued strict orders against screening of premiere shows anywhere in the city or elsewhere in the state.

The police denied permission to screen the premiere shows fearing untoward incidents outside theatres. “As the premiere shows are scheduled at night, it will be beyond our control to maintain law and order near theaters,” the police stated.

Meanwhile, three theaters in the city - Bhramaramba and Mallikarjuna theaters in Kukatpally area and RK theatre in Abids have already announced the screening of premiere shows at 1am and 4am on Wednesday. Thousands of movie buffs gathered at these theatre gates for tickets and the situation turned tense after the Telangana police order.

Police warned the theatre managements against violation of its orders on premiere shows. Strict action will be taken against the theatres who violate the order, police said.
