Madhave Madhusudana Movie Review

There is no film without a love story in the long history of Telugu cinema. Madhave Madhusudana tries to add a new flavour. Written, directed and produced by Bommadevara Ramachandra Rao, the film stars Tej Bommadevara and Rishika Lokre in lead roles. It was released in theatres today. Here is our review:

Story:

Madhav (Tej Bommadevara) enjoys life with his friends Ravi (Josh Ravi) and Shiva (Shiva). His parents are upset to see their son going about his life without a purpose. His mother (Mirchi Priya) asks him to migrate to Bangalore to take on a white-collar ob. His philosophical father (Jaya Prakash) also advises him to do so. Madhav, who has to go to Bengaluru, boards the Vizag train and reaches a village en route where he bumps into a beautiful girl named Aaradhya (Rishiki Lokre) at a railway station.

The twist is that only Madhav can see her and nobody else can. What is the relationship between that girl and Madhava? Why does he go after that girl? What is the past between these two? What are the sacrifices made by these two for the sake of love? That's what the story is about.

Performances:

Tej Bommadevara's first movie proves to be the right choice. He acts very naturally. As a lover, as a jovial young man and as a sentimental fellow, he looks so natural. He danced well and executed the dialogue delivery nicely. Rishika Lokre impresses one and all. Bommadevara Ramachandra Rao, who appeared as the heroine's father, is good in the emotional scenes. Jayaprakash and others are fine.

Vulgarity is not shown anywhere. The director took only what he wanted without going into dramatic scenes. The director should be appreciated for that. No matter what the story is, the screenplay is satisfying.

Love means problems and crisis is common in it. But it is important that those problems and conflicts are shown in the right way. That's where this movie differs from other movies. In this film, instead of a physical villain, it is fate that is the villain. What did the boyfriend do for his promise to his girlfriend? That has been explored well.

The first half is a bit funny. The director balances everything here. The second half seems a bit dull and slow. It could have been shortened a bit. The length problem also seems to surface here. The songs are good to listen to and watch. The dialogues touch the heart here and there.

The production values are decent.
