Kothagudem Doctor, Mother-in-Law Killed In Road Accident; Wife, Daughter Injured

Hyderabad: A doctor and his mother-in-law died and his wife and daughter were critically injured when their car rammed into an oil tanker from behind at Errasanigudem bus stage in Kattangur mandal of Nalgonda district on Monday.
The deceased doctor was identified as M. Vijay Kumar(55) of Kothagudem. He was the son of communist leader and ex-MLA of Narasampet constituency in Warangal district M. Omkar who died in 2008.
The family was traveling to Hyderabad from Kothagudem when the mishap took place. The doctor who was driving the car lost control when an oil tanker moving ahead suddenly swerved to the left and his wife’s mother Savitramma died on the spot.
Vijay Kumar’s wife Dr. Jhansi Lakshmi and daughter Shobha were severely injured, but are recovering at a hospital in Hyderabad. The family was traveling to Mahabubnagar to attend a function.
