West Godavari: Former chief minister, late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s daughter and YSR Congress party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy‘s sister, YS Sharmila, slammed TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu for fielding the notorious Chintamaneni Prabhakar from Denduluru constituency once again.

She pointed out that in the past, the TDP MLA had dragged a lady MRO, Vanajakshi, who opposed his illegal sand mining activities in the district, by her hair. It was truly shameful on the part of the ruling party to renominate such an infamous and controversial public figure to the legislative assembly once again, she said.

YS Sharmila interacted with families of fishermen in Nadipalli of West Godavari district on Wednesday. Fishermen poured out their woes to her and also told her how they had suffered at the hands of Chintamaneni Prabhakar. They also narrated to her the problems they faced with respect to Kolleru.

Addressing the fisherman community later, YS Sharmila said that it was high time that Chintamaneni Prabhakar was taught a lesson. If this Notorious public representative with 38 rowdy sheet cases against him is defeated, he would have been taught a firm lesson by YS Jagan, she added.

It was Chandrababu Naidu who was squarely responsible for the atrocities committed on the poor by Chintamaneni Prabhakar, she remarked.

The Denduluru MLA drew inspiration from Chandrababu, she observed. YS Sharmila assured the local citizens that the task of punishing Chintamaneni Prabhakar for his misdeeds, would be the responsibility of the YSRCP once it comes to power.

YS Jagan would find a suitable solution to the problems related to Kolleru, she said. The YSRCP president would declare Kolleru a reserved area and ensure that the fishermen did not suffer, she said.

YS Sharmila also assured the people of the area that their lives would be transformed through YSRCP’s Navaratnalu. She urged the masses to vote for the fan symbol to ensure all-round progress and development of the state.
