YSRCP complain on TDP MP Maganti Babu

YSRCP leaders met Governor E.S.L.Narasimhan on Saturday to complain him of the attack on  party MLA Tati Venkateswarlu by TDP MP Maganti Babu when the former tried to attend the review meet by collector.

To,

The Hon'ble Governor, The Hon'ble Speaker,  The Hon'ble Chief Minister,

Government of Telangana,

Hyderabad.

Sub: Assault by TDP followers led by MP Maganti Venakteswar Rao on YSRCP MLA

T Venkateswar Rao Khammam District - Reg.

Respected Sir,

This is to bring to your kind notice that our party leader Tati Venkateshwarlu, sitting MLA

from Aswaraopet in Khammam district was physically assaulted by TDP men led by MP

of Eluru, Maganti Venkateswara Rao on 18th September 2014 in Kukunur village.

The local district administration has arranged for a interface program on 18th September

2014 in Kukunur village in West Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh state. This interface

program was arranged by West Godavari district administration with the local official

machinary and the inhabitants of ceded villages in Kukkunur and Velerpadu mandals in

the erstwhile Khammam district of Telangana. As the villages fall under Aswaraopet

constituency in Telangana State, the sitting MLA belonging to YSRCP also attended the

meeting.

When our Party MLA Venkateshwarlu was seeking details regarding Polavaram dam

with the officials present on the dias, followers belonging to TDP MP from Eluru Maganti

Venkateswar Rao suddenly started raising "Jai Andhra " slogans and physically attacked

MLA T. Venkateswarlu. In the ensuing melee, the MLA was caught by his shirt collar and

was punched on his face and was pushed from the dias. He was injured in the process.

We condemn this high handed behaviour of TDP leaders after the State is divided. They

are resorting to these kind of actions just to raise the regional tensions after state’s

bifurcation. Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States after bifurcation should work towards

rebuilding their States and for the welfare of the people living there. But the ruling TDP

Party in Andhra Pradesh is resorting to these kind of violent things just to flare up the

regional tensions between the two states.

We request you to kindly order for an thorough enquiry into this incident and do justice.

Also request you to advice the ruling TDP Party in Andhra Pradesh to not to repeat such

violent acts and shall maintain the dignity of Democracy.

Thanking You,

Yours Sincerely,

P. Sreenivas Reddy - MP (Lok Sabha)

T. Venkateswarlu - MLA – Aswaraopet

P. Venkatateswarlu - MLA - Pinapaka
