Hyderabad: The CMD of Telangana's power utilities D Prabhakar Rao Monday urged the South Central Railway to convert the railway line, which would be used for supply of coal to the 4,000 MW 'ultra mega power plant' at Damarcherla in the state, into a double line.
Rao, who had a meeting with the railway officials here, said it has been decided to procure entire coal required for the plant from the state-run Singareni Collieries in the state, an official release said.
For the purpose, he urged officials for laying a double line from Kothagudem to Dornakal and from Motamari to Vishnupuram (200 km), according to the release. (PTI)
