GHMC Chief’s Car Has Pending Challans For Over-speeding, Dangerous Driving
Hyderabad: A car which is registered in the name of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) commissioner Dana Kishore was found to have several pending challans for dangerous driving as well as speeding.
The violation came to light when a screenshot of pending challans from the Hyderabad Traffic Police website was shared on Twitter by a user.
“Speed thrills but kills. @CommissionrGHMC vehicle has pending violations of Rs 6,210 for vehicle number TS09FA4248. All the violations are of over-speeding. The cops should campaign awareness programme for @CommissionrGHMC,” tweeted Mohit Patel
The Telangana state police's e-challan website showed that the car has six pending challans for his vehicle from August 8, 2018 to April 30, 2019.
Hours after the pending challans were made public, the commissioner's office cleared all pending fines. The GHMC issued a statement later saying that the challans were paid and the driver warned.
