Hyderabadis Must Remain Indoors Next Four Days Or Be Prepared For Sunstroke

Hyderabad: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday informed that the heat wave conditions are likely to continue in several districts of the state. The IMD also issued a heatwave warning in Hyderabad for the next four days from May 15 to 18.

In Adilabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Warangal, Asifabad, Khammam, Nizamabad, Rajanna-Sircilla, Nalgonda, Siddipet, Karimnagar districts, the heat wave conditions are likely to resume with the maximum temperatures expected to reach 45-46 degrees Celsius.

According to the meteorological department, the rise in mercury levels is due to the change in wind patterns as the dry winds are blowing from the northwest direction.

Nizamabad on Tuesday witnessed the highest temperature of 43.4 degrees with Adilabad following behind with 43.3 degrees. Nalgonda and Medak recorded 43.2 degrees, Ramagundam at 42.2 degrees and Hyderabad at 40.3 degrees.

The Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) stated that places such as Adilabad, Suryapet, Nalgonda, Jagtial, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Karimnagar, Mancherial, Asifabad, Peddapalli are likely to witness maximum temperatures, three to four degrees Celsius above normal.
