Teacher Suspended For Sleeping In Classroom

Mahbubnagar: A Government school teacher of ZP High School in Midjil was suspended on Friday after the school students sent a picture of the teacher sleeping in classroom to the DEO.

The students sent a message to the DEO along with the picture of their maths teacher K Ramulu sleeping during school hours through Whatsapp. The education department immediately responded and suspended him on charges of dereliction of duties. The department also ordered him not to leave the headquarters without the permission of the DEO.

Sometime ago, the education department officials have interacted with the students and taught them how to use technology to expose dereliction of duties by the staff members, including the teacher. The students used the mobile phone to click the pictures of the teacher and forwarded them to the DEO, who promptly responded by suspending the teacher.

The Balala Hakkula Sangam appreciated the students for their presence of mind which resulted in the suspension of the teacher.
