After a nail-biting match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings, the IPL fans are rooting for a new Prime Minister. Does that even have any connection? Read further to know.
The IPL match on Sunday witnessed CSK skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni delivering a miraculous inning, which almost culminated into a win.
However, CSK lost the match by 1 run. Known as the finisher, Dhoni scored an unbeaten inning of 84 off 48 balls hitting 24 runs in the final over. Unfortunately, he missed the last resulting in RCB winning the match.
Even though the CSK fans were skeptical of Dhoni pulling off a win in the last over with 26 runs needed in the last over, the turn of events put the fans at the edge of the seat. After clobbering of a boundary and three sixes of Umesh Yadav's deliveries, Dhoni set the stage for the win. But as he failed to connect the last ball, CSK ended up losing the match.
Interestingly, ardent fans of MS Dhoni began trending #DhoniforPM on Twitter after his epic performance in the match. The Twitterati started campaigning Dhoni to run for PM believing that he is a better choice than Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi.
