Sneak Peek Into 2018 FIFA Anthem, Colors

Coca-Cola and Jason Derulo have teamed-up to create the Coca-Cola Anthem for the 2018 FIFA World Cup - “Colors”. In an announcement released on YouTube, Derulo showed glimpses of the much-awaited official song. Scheduled to release the song next month, he gave a sneak-peek of it right away along with the announcement.

The song is a true collaboration between Coca-Cola and Jason Derulo, and celebrates all the vibrancy and excitement that comes with the arrival of the world’s biggest football tournament. “Colors” will be officially released on March 16, 2018. To extend the collaborations across the world, Coca-Cola invited local artists from the African continent including South Africa, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Mozambique, and Ethiopia to collaborate with Jason Derulo to create a unique African anthem for each of their countries. South African artist Cassper Nyovest too has been roped in alongside Derulo

Colors, in Derulo’s words, talks about how we all have an identity Derulo, along with Cassper Nyovest, were selected to sing "Colors," the sporting anthem that will soundtrack the upcoming tournament in Russia, treading on the heels of Pitbull and Shakira before him. Shakira’s official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” was a huge hit with more than 1 Billion views on YouTube. However, Pitbull’s We Are One (Ole Ola) [The Official 2014 FIFA World Cup Song] didn’t draw as much attention attracting more than Six Hundred Million views.

This partnership will become the soundtrack to kick start fans' excitement for the tournament, as it begins buzzing across the world in the build-up to the kickoff.
