School’s Humiliation Drives Student to Suicide

Hyderabad: A ninth standard student who was humiliated by the school for delayed payment of school fee hanged himself to the fan in his home in Kanchanbagh area. Even as his family members rushed him to the hospital, he was declared brought dead.

Salman Beg (16) son of Mirza Fakir Beg, resident of C Block of Hafizbaba Nagar in Kanchanbagh area was a student of Ipham Talen School. He was reportedly humiliated periodically by the school authorities for not paying his fee for the months of October, November and December of 2016.

On Wednesday however Salman managed to bring the fee and clear his arrears in school. Instead of settling the episode in a mature manner, the school authorities continued to display their talent at humiliating a helpless teenager.

Unable to bear the humiliation any longer Salman returned home with a heavy heart. He went into his room and hanged himself to the fan.

When the family members noticed this they immediately rushed Salman to the hospital, but they were too late to save the miserable boy, who died enroute to the hospital.
