Many people have been crippled financially in their struggle to get treatment for their family members suffering from COVID-19. For better treatment, people would go for private hospitals but some hospitals are charging a huge bill despite government warning not to do so.

The number of coronavirus cases increasing rapidly. Now, the coronavirus positive patients and their relatives in Telangana can lodge their complaints to the health authorities on WhatsApp number 9154170960 if they are having problems with private hospitals while accessing health care facilities. The general public can also call the helpline and grievance call centre 104 to lodge any complaint or help related to Covid-19 or Omicron.

In Telangana, the cases of Omicron are going high. Telangana Director of Public Health Dr. Srinivas Rao said that "The Omicron variant is already in the community. Our estimate is that 70% of cases are Omicron cases because we can’t do genome sequencing for everyone. For now, we just have to see if it’s a COVID-19 case or not. The treatment and testing are the same."

Telangana government also cancelled all the holidays for the health department staff as a precautionary measure.
