Hyderabad: A woman driving a luxurious Jaguar car allegedly assaulted a home guard in Banjara Hills after he objected to her over a traffic violation. The incident, which took place on Road No. 12 of the posh locality of Hyderabad on February 24, was caught on camera and the video has now gone viral on social media.

The home guard G Vignesh stopped the woman identified as Sri Latha after she took a U-turn at the wrong place and thereby violated the traffic rule. As Vignesh was recording the traffic violation on his mobile phone, the woman got angry and got out of her car and allegedly assaulted him. She also broke his mobile phone and tore his shirt.

According to Banjara Hills traffic police, the home guard requested her to take the U-turn near cancer hospital but she refused to pay heed to his advice and instead took a wrong U-turn which caused traffic snarl on the busy road. Later, she fled the scene in her luxurious car. Following a complaint, the police have registered a criminal case against Sri Latha under various Sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Motor Vehicle Act.
