Mancherial: Telangana police registered a case against the BRS leader Balka Suman at Mancherial Police Station for allegedly using abusive language against the chief minister Revanth Reddy. The case was filed under various Sections of the Indian Penal Code following a complaint lodged by Congress leaders.

During a meeting of district party unit workers, the former Chennur MLA used inappropriate words against the chief minister while the audience was seen enjoying it. He also reportedly said that he would hit Reddy with a shoe. The video clip purportedly showing Balka Suman abusing the chief minister soon went viral, prompting strong reactions from the leaders of the ruling party.

Criticising the state government, Suman alleged that Rs 7,770 crore funds released by the previous state government for the Rythu Bandhu scheme have been diverted to Raghava Constructions owned by Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy's family.
