The Election Commission of India announced that the bypoll to Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly constituency will be conducted on April 17. The election was necessitated due to the demise of Nagarjuna Sagar MLA Nomula Narsimhaiah in December last year.

The notification will be issued on March 23rd and the nomination process will start on the same day. The last day for nominations is March 30. There is going to be a tough competition between TRS, BJP and Congress.

All the parties want to win the bypoll and are coming up with their own strategies. BJP wants to create history by winning the Nagarjuna Sagar bypoll just like the party's feat Dubbak bypoll.

According to reports, BJP state president, Bandi Sanjay met up with the leaders of Nalgonda and is planning to secure a win for the party in the bypoll at any cost. It is learned that, Bandi Sanjay is planning to go on a padayatra. But, BJP hasn't announced the candidate so far. It is said that BJP would announce the candidate only after TRS finalizes its candidate.

The Congress party has already announced Jana Reddy as its candidate. Is TRS going to give a ticket to Nomula Narsimhaiah's wife is the most asked question in political circles. Let's wait and watch.
