Budget 2024: Top 5 Remarks on Interim Budget

1 Feb, 2024 15:32 IST|Sakshi Post

New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday presented the interim budget for 2024-25. It was her sixth straight budget. The interim budget received mixed reactions. Let’s check out the top 5 reactions on the budget.

Narendra Modi, Prime Minister

The Union Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala SItharama will help in strengthening the foundation of a developed India. This is a budget of creating India’s future and it is also a reflection of the young aspiration of young India

Amit Shah, Union Home Minister

The decision to provide a total of Rs 75,000 crore interest-free loans to the states for the next five decades will prove a game changer in fortifying centre-state relations. It will also ensure that no region is left behind in the great Bharat that Modi Ji has envisioned

Supriya Shrinate, Congress leader

The government is still in denial mode and is not ready to accept the problems. There is nothing in this budget for common people, employment, agriculture, women. Nirmala Sitharaman said that income has increased by 50% but government data says that real income has decreased by 25%."

Priyanka Chaturvedi, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP

All I can say is that in this cold weather, what the Finance Minister has done, she has poured cold water over the expectations of the people of this country.

Swati Maliwal, AAP MP

This is a disappointing budget. Inflation and unemployment are at their peak in the country but there is nothing about it in the budget...It is a disappointing budget for the common people.
