Director Lokesh Kanagaraj unveiled a striking poster for Rajinikanth's upcoming film 'Thalaivar 171'. The poster shows the superstar in a rugged yet stylish appearance, wearing handcuffs made of golden wristwatches against a backdrop of mechanical parts.

Kanagaraj announced that the official title reveal will happen on April 22, 2024. He shared the update on social media, writing, "#Thalaivar171TitleReveal on April 22."

In a recent interview, the 'Leo' director provided more details. "The pre-production work is still going on," he said. "The film will go on floors in June. The entire process will take around one to one-and-a-half years."

Kanagaraj confirmed plans after 'Thalaivar 171'. "One month after the completion of 'Thalaivar 171', we will begin 'Kaithi 2' with Karthi. So, the work has been going on," he stated.

'Thalaivar 171' marks Rajinikanth's first collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj. Produced on a massive scale by Sun Pictures, the film was launched in September 2023. Reports suggest Sivakarthikeyan may have a role, though the cast and crew are yet to be officially announced. Composer Anirudh Ravichander and stunt director Anbariv are part of the crew.
