Comrade Kalyan OTT Release
Sree Vishnu and Mahima Nambiar's latest film Comrade Kalyan has started streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The film was released in theatres on the 2nd of this month and made its OTT debut within a month.
Directed against the backdrop of the Naxalite movement, the movie combines comedy, romance and action. It is available in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
Comrade Kalyan Movie Story
The story takes place in the 1990s near the Andhra Pradesh-Odisha border. Kalyan (Sree Vishnu) is a young man with limited education who runs a local theatre on lease.
His life changes when IPS officer Georgekutty (Shine Tom Chacko) arrives in the area to eliminate Naxalite groups operating in the forests. A conflict begins between the police officer and a Naxalite group led by Master (Sai Chand).
During this time, an Odia woman named Sitaradevi (Mahima Nambiar) arrives in the village with her seriously ill mother Saraswathamma (Radhika Sarathkumar). Kalyan falls in love with Sitaradevi after seeing her and hopes to marry her.
However, unexpected events change his life completely. The man who once ran a small theatre becomes Comrade Kalyan and turns into a most-wanted person for the police. The rest of the film reveals what happens to him and how his life takes a different direction.
Mirzapur Movie OTT Release
The popular Mirzapur franchise has returned with a new movie. The film was released in theatres on the 4th of last month and received an average response from audiences. It is now available on Amazon Prime Video.
The OTT version includes additional scenes that were not part of the theatrical release. While the theatrical version had a shorter runtime, the streaming version runs for approximately three and a half hours.
Currently, the movie is available only in Hindi on the platform. Audiences waiting for the Telugu-dubbed version may have to wait a few more days.
Mirzapur Movie Story
The story revolves around Akhandanand Tripathi, popularly known as Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi), who controls Mirzapur and has a strong influence over Uttar Pradesh politics.
Guddu (Ali Fazal) and Bablu (Jitendra Kumar) work closely with Kaleen Bhaiya and help him handle his business and other activities. Meanwhile, his son Munna (Divyenndu) dreams of becoming the ruler of Mirzapur. However, his aggressive nature often creates problems.
Another powerful man, Baban Yadav (Ravi Kishan), also wants to take control of Mirzapur. He approaches the Tripathis with a business deal, which Kaleen Bhaiya accepts along with a condition proposed by Baban.
Why does Baban Yadav want to become the ruler of Mirzapur? What is his actual plan? Will Kaleen Bhaiya discover his intentions? The rest of the movie revolves around these questions and the fight for power.
