Actor and part-time politician Pawan Kalyan, who is touted to be the 'Datta Putrudu' for TDP, has visited the Bhivaram Assembly constituency only three times in the last five years.

YSRCP MLA Grandhi Srinivas questioned Pawan's dedication and commitment to Bhimavaram. Grandhi defeated Pawan Kalyan in the 2019 elections. After which he had only visited the constituency thrice. Grandhi questioned how the people of Bhimavaram could trust Pawan and vote for him. "Pawan did not care about the people whether it was during the Covid-19 pandemic or the floods or when the people of West Godavari were in trouble. He was not bothered to pay a visit when the people here were in difficulties," said Grandhi.

Grandhi alleged that the people of Bhimavaram do not even know how to reach Pawan Kalyan after the elections. He said the history will repeat in the 2024 general elections as well. "If Pawan becomes MLA, people won't even know how to reach him," Grandhi said.

Accusing Kalyan of lacking courage, Grandhi said Pawan is avoiding direct competition with himself or YSRCP leader Jagan Mohan Reddy, by forming alliances with PM Modi and former CM Chandrababu Naidu. Grandhi further devalued Kalyan's political approach, comparing it to a 'school kid's fight,' where Kalyan allegedly needs '10 people against one opponent.'

Meanwhile, the TDP leaders in Bhimavaram are not interested in supporting Pawan. Already videos of the TDP cadre in Bhimavaram complaining against Pawan and ignoring them are going viral on social media platforms.
