Hyderabad: After the successful launch of Rythu Bandhu by the Telangana government, yet another scheme for the farmers of the state is likely to make a huge impact. Rythu Beema which provides insurance coverage of Rs 5 lakh to farmers is being seen as a pioneering initiative. According to Minister of IT and Municipal Administration K T Rama Rao, the state government would formally launch the Rythu Beema scheme from June 2, the Telangana formation day.

The Minister was in Rajanna-Sircilla district to distribute Rythu Bandhu cheques in Illanthakunta, Vemulawada and Yellareddypet mandals yesterday. After visiting Vemulawada, the home town of Gnanapith Awardee C Narayana Reddy and Oggu Katha folk artiste Midde Ramulu, he spoke to the media and said that the Rythu Beema scheme would provide insurance coverage of Rs 5 lakh to the farmers.
