Major Fire In LED Factory In Noida, 6 Charred To Death

Noida: In a major fire mishap in the Excel Greentek factory in Noida, six lives were lost. The incident occured on Wednesday afternoon. The company makes LED bulbs.

Sources said that on seeing the smoke billowing out, several workers have been evacuated. But, six workers, who were struck in the top floor of the building were charred to death. Their identity is yet to be established.

The fire, which spread quickly, was incontrollable. Fire tenders were requisitioned from Noida Phase 1, Phase 2, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad. Even after battling for over three overs, the fire could not be completely put down. The loss property is estimated at several lakh. The reason for the fire are not yet known.
