‘Hotel Bawarchi’ seized

The sanitary officials on Thursday seized Hotel Bawarchi near Uppal Depot on health grounds.

Hyderabad: Firzadiguda Municipal Authorities have seized one of the many restaurants that go by the name of ‘Hotel Bawarchi’ which is famous for Hyderabad Biryani, in Boduppal area due to lack of sanitary maintenance on Thursday.

The locals had lodged a complaint with the municipal authorities about a terrible stench emanating from the restaurant premises. Based on this complaint, Municipal Commissioner Krishna Mohan Reddy along with Sanitary officials conducted a surprise raid on the hotel that is situated near the Uppal Depot.

The officials found the restaurant’s kitchen to be in unsanitary condition. Also found a manhole behind the hotel that was filled with garbage and drainage.

The officials then proceeded to sieze the restaurant on health grounds. Sanitary Engineer Sukrutha Reddy, AE Srinivas Reddy and others were part of the team that raided the restaurant.
