Today, practically everyone’s world revolves around their cell phones, tablet, computer, and other technologies. With this, cybercriminals have also been on the rise, looking to target innocent internet users and businesses. An Incident of such sorts came to light as Karteek from Chennai has been working as Software Engineer in Hyderabad had lost Rs 2 lakh without his knowledge.

According to details, a person stayed in a room where Karteek was residing. After few days, the person vacated the room. Noticing that his mobile was not working, he went to the repair shop and he came to know that he had lost Rs 2 lakh from his bank accounts.

It is reported that the person replaced the sim card with a dummy sim and photographed all his credit and debit cards.

Like this, many software employees and students are falling victims to the cybercriminals.

Police said that they had identified the person and it is learnt that hostel organisers hadn't taken any identity proofs from the person. Police have been taking extra efforts to nab the person through his mobile location.

Police are warning the people not to disclose their information and to keep it confidential.
