
A man murdered his elder brother and married his wife. He was arrested on Wednesday in Kerala. Murugodasan (45) of Singarathopu village in Cuddalore harbour lived with his wife Sunitha and their two children. In 2013, he went to Saudi Arabia to earn a livelihood and came back to his village on January 6 2019 to attend his brother-in-law's wedding. He went missing after a few days. Since hs passport was at home, his family members got suspicious. At the same time, his younger brother Sumayyar also went missing heightening the suspicions of their mother Pavanammal.
She could not reach her daughter-in-law either. Pavanammal lodged a police complaint and the cops launched an investigation into the matter. It was revealed that at the time that Murugadasan was at Saudi, his brother spent a lot of time with his sister-in-law Sunitha (Murugadasan's wife). This led to an extra-marital relationship between the two.
When Murugadasan came to know about their affair, he admonished him following which they decided to get rid of him. As per a pre-meditated plan, they killed and buried him. Police tracked them down to Kerala where they were arrested. On Thursday, the cops exhumed Murugadasan's body which was buried in the backyard of their house and sent it for post-mortem.
