Mallapur: A mother-son duo has been arrested by the Nacharam Police on Tuesday and sent to remand for their alleged involvement in the sexual assault of a girl.

As per the details, the 18-year-old girl, a resident of Kapra, ECIL works as a receptionist at local junior college.

During this time, she met Abdul Majeed, who hails from HMT Nagar in Nacharam. Claiming to love her, he took her home and sexually assaulted her. When the victim demanded him to marry her, the accused not only rejected the marriage but also threatened to post the videos he has of her on social media.

It is learned that Abdul's mother Saleha Saheen (45) also supported him. Also, as per the victim's complaint filed at the police station, the accused even took Rs 60,000 cash and gold worth 7.5 gms from her.

Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case and arrested both Abdul and his mother Saleha. The police have seized 36 gms of gold, a bike and a mobile phone from them.
