Doctor Faces Acid Attack After Cheating Woman

Tirupati: A woman attacked a doctor with acid on Wednesday in Tirupati Court Hall. The doctor, who was alert managed to escape the acid attack with minor injuries.

In a divorce case proceedings, Dr Adarsh Reddy attended the Tirupati Court on Wednesday. Clad in a burkha, the woman attacked Adarsh Reddy by throwing acid on him. As he managed to escape, the woman attempted suicide by consuming poison she was carrying with her. The police officials at the Court immediately rushed her to the hospital where she was given treatment. She was later taken into police custody where she confessed to the attack.

The woman, who works as a nurse at the Tirupati Narayanadri Hospital, told the police that Adarsh Reddy had cheated her in the pretext of love which is the reason she had attacked him.
