Tirupati: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy addressed a mammoth public meeting of party workers here on Wednesday. YS Jagan sounded the election bugle in the first ‘Samara Sankharavam’ meeting held at Yoganand Engineering College grounds here. Addressing the 40 thousand plus party cadre he compared the crowd to that of the Pandavas who were getting ready for a battle to fight the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) akin to the Kaurava Sena.

Pension for the Elderly...

YS Jagan assured the people of the state that under Rajanna Rajyam old age pension would be increased from Rs.1,000 to Rs.3,000. The YSRCP chief asked the people not to fall for Chandrababu's words and that by Gods grace and people's blessings, if the YSRCP was voted to power the first thing would be to increase the pension for the elderly to Rs 3,000.

YS Jagan also said that booth workers need to be alert in checking the voters' list and ensure that the people come to the polling station to vote. He also said that Chandrababu and his team were working on a campaign to delete the names of YSRCP sympathisers and create bogus voters. YS Jagan cautioned the people to be vigilant and prevent such misdeeds by the TDP.
