Woman Allegedly Gang-Raped At Sullurpeta Railway Station

Nellore: Five men allegedly gang-raped a woman after abducting her from the Sullurpeta railway station in Nellore district here on Sunday. The woman is said to have come to the railway station with her boyfriend to get on to the Bokaro-Chennai express. In order to board the unreserved compartment, the two sat at the far end of the platform, which was a comparatively desolate area.

The woman is learnt to be from Vizianagaram, while her boyfriend hailed from Kakinada. Police registered a case based on the victim's complaint and have arrested two criminals. They are hopeful of tracking down the other three soon.
