Kurnool: Depressed over constant bickerings, two women committed suicide. According to police, Jamal and Kalavathi have three sons. The second son Bala was married to Venkata Lakshmi eight years ago and the youngest one is still not married. They all live in Bandi Aatmakuru as farm labourers. There were some misunderstandings between Lakshmi and her mother-in-law over field work.

A depressed Kalavathi attempted suicide by consuming pesticide. Lakshmi shifted her to Nandyala government hospital where she died while undergoing treatment. On the same day, Lakshmi too attempted suicide and died on her way to Kurnool hospital. Based on a complaint given by Lakshmi's mother Seshamma, the police filed a case and started probing the matter.

Recently, in a similar incident, unable to bear the loneliness, a girl committed suicide by hanging herself. The incident took place at Rayadurgam.

According to the police, Linganna and Padma had three daughters and a son. They left their hometown 25 years ago and settled in Rayadurgam for livelihood. Five Years ago, Linganna and Padma died. While the daughters got married, thrir brother used to do farming in their hometown. The deceased Jyothi worked as computer operator in Rayadurgam at a computer institute.

She left her job a month ago and was mentally disturbed as there was no one to take care of her. A depressed Jyothi hanged herself and committed suicide on Tuesday. Based on the complaint given by the family members, the police started probing the matter.
