Private Travels Bus Hits Car, Kills Four On Spot Near Kurnool
Kurnool Rural: Four youth were killed and one person seriously injured when the car they were travelling in was hit by a private travels bus in Kothapalli Circle on the outskirts of Highway No 44, in the early hours of Sunday.
They were travelling back home in their car after attending Jana Sena Party chief's Pawan Kalyan's march held in Anantapur when a travel bus which was coming from Hyderabad to Bengaluru crashed into their car, killing four of them on the spot. The victims were identified as Hanumanthu (31), Govindu (29), Moulali (31)and Madhu (32), who belonged to Goverdhanagiri and Dharnavaram villages in Veldurthi Mandal.
The driver Mallikarjuna who was severely injured was taken to Kurnool Government Hospital for treatment. SP Fakirappa and DSP Khadar Bhasha and other local police officials visited the accident site and enquired about the accident. The bodies were sent for post mortem to the Government Hospital.
