Chandragiri Man Kills Married Lover For Cheating

Chandragiri: A man killed his lover for cheating him after suspecting her of having an affair with another man. The incident came to light on Sunday when the accused surrendered to the VRO.

According to the locals, Chenchu Muni was married to Girija (33) ten years ago. The couple had two children. Girija had an extra-marital-relationship with Giri who is the resident of the same village.

Giri suspected his lover of having an affair with another man. He used to fight with her regarding the issue. On November 13, Girija and Giri met at a well located in a farming land. An argument broke out between them and enraged Giri, who hit the woman with a log. A severley injured Girija died on the spot. Giri packed her into a bag and threw her body into the well.

Girija's husband filed a complaint with police on Friday night saying his wife had gone missing from 10 days. The police filed a case and started probing the matter.

Meanwhile, in the early hours of Sunday, the victim himself surrendered to the VRO. He confessed to the crime. The VRO handed him over to the police. Based on the details given by the accused, the police fished out the body from the well. Since the body was decomposed, it was sent to Tirupati Medical college for post-mortem.
