Man Crossing Tracks Knocked Down By Train

Hyderabad: A young man lost his life in a train accident. The incident took place on Wednesday night at Serilingampalli, Hyderabad. The deceased Khureshi Ahad (23), who runs a meat shop, hails from Latur district, Maharashtra.

Ahad was supposed to go to his relative's house at Chandrayanagutta. He reached Lingampalli railway station to catch MMTS train. Ahad was knocked down by a speeding local train as he was attempting to cross the railway tracks. Ahad got stuck between the train and platform, even as the driver tried to apply brakes. The RPF staff and GRP police struggled to extricate him.

He was shifted to Nampally station on the same train and taken to Osmania hospital where he succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment.
