Inaccurate HIV Report Pushes Youth To Suicide

Machilipatnam: In an unfortunate incident, a false HIV report by a local clinic nearly ended a youth's life on Thursday. Saddam, a native of Bihar, consulted a local RMP last week, when he felt unwell. Among a few medical tests, the doctor advised Saddam to take an HIV test.

As advised by the doctor, Saddam produced his blood samples to the lab technician in the clinic. However, to hoa shock, the doctor declared him as a HIV infected person, after the lab technician's inaccurate HIV report indicated the same.

Depressed over it, the youth tried committing suicide by consuming chemicals. Worried over his extreme step, Saddam's friends admitted him to the local government hospital, where the doctors declared him safe from HIV. Later, it was found that it was the lab technician's fault that caused the tension.
