CBIT Tense As Fee Hike Protests Enters Day 5
Hyderabad: Protesting fee hike, students of Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) continued to stage a dharna on Monday in front of the college at Gandipet in Hyderabad. The students' protests entered day 5.
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad *ABVP) including the SFI, AISF and various other student organisations too extended their support. The campus has been burning for the past one week as the students continued their agitation following exorbitant fee hike from the college management.
The students staged a sit-in holding placards, raising slogans to rollback the fee hike. The ABVP students stopped the CBIT college buses at Sankarpally X Roads as part of their protest. The police resorted to mild laticharge to quell the students.
