Amaravati: Retired IAS officer M Samuel, who is already serving as an advisor to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has been given the additional and all-important assignment to oversee the implementation of Navaratnalu scheme as vice-chairman for the said committee. The State government issued orders to this effect on Saturday.
The appointment of a top bureaucrat to the said role, instead of a politician, suggests that YS Jagan accords a greater significance towards the implementation of Navaratnalu, which he had promised during electioneering.
