IT Grid Scam: CEO Ashok To Appear Before AP SIT

Hyderabad: In connection to the IT Grid Scam, the company director Ashok Damavarapu, who absconded is learned to have come forward in front of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in Andhra Pradesh.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu himself announced that Ashok will be making an appearance in the next 2-3 days. It is becoming clear that the Telugu Desam leaders are following the cash for vote case.

The accused in the case, Muttiah escaped to Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh and filed a complaint against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to the AP Police.

With the police officials in the state protecting Muttiah, the same is repeating in the IT Grid case as well as reports suggest that Ashok is under the care of the AP Police. Similar to Muttiah, Ashok also filed a quash petition in the Telangana High Court claiming that he has been unnecessarily dragged into the case.

It is being speculated that Ashok, who stated that his data was stolen by the Telangana Police will be filing a complaint to the AP's SIT in this regard.

Meanwhile, the Telangana SIT has collected key evidence in the data scam case and have traced Ashok. According to reliable sources, Ashok fled to Vijayawada within a few hours of the data scam coming to light.

It is reported that his cell phone location was tracked at the Guntur cell tower after a short while. Also, as he left from Vijayawada to Guntur, several calls were made from his number to prominent officials and political leaders during the time.

The officials noted that Ashok had elaborate discussions during the last six months on the same numbers he had dialed while he absconded. A police official stated that they are investigating whether these political leaders are involved in the scam.
