4 Students Go Missing After Lecturer Reprimands Over Cell Phone Use In Classroom; Traced In Vizag

Vijayawada: Four students of Intermediate staying at Bishop Azaraiah hostel here went missing after a lecturer reprimanded them for using cell phone in the classroom. However, police traced the girls in Vishakapatnam on Sunday morning and are yet to be brought back to the city.

Inter first year students Keerthi, Deepthi, Mounika and Madhavi went to college on Saturday but did not come back to hostel. The warden filed a missing complaint at Suryaraopet police station.

According to the police, a lecturer found the students using mobile phone in the classroom and reprimanded them on Friday. The police found that the students did not go to the college on Saturday but boarded a train towards Vishakapatnam. After alerting the police in Vizag, the girls were traced near the railway station.
