YSR saved the state from division

YSR Congress party leader, Sharmila who's on her bus yatra titled "Samaikya Shankaravam" continues to draw crowd wherever she goes.  Sharmila assured the striking APNGOs that YS Jagan will give them salary along with a month's bonus to honor their protest soon after he comes to power.

It's a known fact that the state government has imposed no work-no pay on the striking APNGOs who have boycotted their duties to take part in the Samaikyandhra agitation. Sharmila launched a scathing attack on the state government for harassing the APNGOs.

"Why does the Congress party want to divide Andhra Pradesh setting aside the Srikrishna Committee report," asked YSR Congress Party leader Sharmila.

She was addressing a mammoth gathering at Kakinada in East Godavari district as part of her 'Samaikya Shankaravam' bus yatra. "Who will benefit if the state is divided and who will be the loser if the state remains united?" she asked.

If Congress party possessed the guts and capability to win seats and votes, such situation wouldn't arise, she said, adding that Congress had made a wrong move of deciding to divide the state for selfish politics. Sharmila also recalled YSR's welfare schemes that benefited the people of state.

She said that we wouldn't have seen this day had YSR been alive. This is not just the opinion of our prime minister, but crores of Telugu people too shared the same thoughts, she added. "YSR stood strong and saved the state from being divided."

She recalled that he fought alone to bring the Congress back to power in 2009 even after five parties went for poll alliances. YSR proved that the people of AP want welfare and development and not division. The present situation prevails due to the absence of a  gutsy leader like YSR, she said.

She read out to the public the contents of the letter TDP chief Chandrababu wrote to the Centre on October 18, 2008.
