YSR Congress party leader and the principal opposition party chief in Andhra Pradesh assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has sought the appointment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to submit a memorandum seeking special status for Andhra Pradesh.
According to a letter submitted to the Prime Minister's office, YS Jagan has highlighted the recent deeksha taken up by him in Guntur and dharna by YSR Congress at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi to demand for the special status. He reminded in the letter, that the Parliament has promised the residuary state that the special status will be granted.
He expressed the desire to meet the prime minister along with the party's MPs, MLAs and MLCs, either at Gannavaram airport or at Tirupati on October 22, 2015.
