The incident occurred at the Peddamma temple in Jubilee Hills on Tuesday.

Kalyan (28) of East Godavari got married to Durga Devi in 2010. The couple, who has son, shifted to Hyderabad for a living. Soon, differences cropped up between the two and they started squabbling.
To her dismay, Kalyan disappeared in 2014 and every effort to trace him proved futile. Durga Devi began living in Madhapur.
However, Kalyan went to Visakhapatnam and got married to another woman named Aparna in April 2014. The couple, who also have son, have shifted to Hyderabad and began living in Borabanda. Kalyan's comeuppance came on Tuesday, when she found Kalyan and his second wife at the temple. Durga Devi thrashed her husband black and blue.

The police rushed to the spot and shifted Kalyan to the police station. They filed a case against Kalyan and took him into custody.
