'We requested Chandrababu not to go in for alliance'

TDP leader and former minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, on Friday, spoke about the true nature of TDP-BJP alliance.

He clarified that he was not supporting the alliance between the two parties.

“Several senior leaders, along with me, requested Chandrababu Naidu not to go for an alliance with BJP. But, Chandrababu did not listen to us," said Ganta.

However, he said that he had confidence the alliance between the two parties would not be a reality.

“If Visakhapatnam parliamentary seat is allotted to BJP, I will file nomination papers from there as a TDP candidate,” clarified the leader.

Ganta said that he would file his nomination papers from Visakhapatnam parliamentary constituency on Saturday.
