Six-time champion Serena Williams breezed into her ninth Wimbledon final, and a potential match-up with sister Venus, by demolishing unseeded Russian Elena Vesnina in just 48 minutes in a record breaking match on Thursday.
While few celebrated her victory, there were others who chose to body shame the athlete by speaking about her nipples. They claim that her nipples are too distracting for them concentrate on the game. Serena was seen wearing a crisp white tennis ensemble and Twitterati soon got into a huge debate over this with #SerenasNipples trending. While one woman said she should wear something to cover them, another said comments were reason we still need feminism
The row comes after viewers accused the BBC of indulging in too many unnecessary slow-motion shots of Wimbledon’s women tennis players, including close-ups of their underwear, earlier this week.
Serena triumphed in 2002, 2003 and 2009 while Venus came out on top in 2008. Thursday’s contest saw Serena race to a 4-0 lead in the first set before 29-year-old Vesnina got on the board.
But the set was over in 28 minutes courtesy of Williams’s seventh ace. The second set was wrapped up in just 20 minutes with breaks in the first, third and fifth games. Saturday’s final will give Serena a chance to win a first major of the season after losing to Kerber in the final in Melbourne and Garbine Muguruza in Paris.
why watch wimbledon if the most interesting thing you can find to comment on is serena williams's nipples

Can't believe people are saying Serena Williams nipples are distracting from the tennis. Have you never seen nipples before?!

People are actually complaining about seeing Serena Williams' nipples through her shirt - and people still think we don't need feminism ??
