Hyderabad: The much-awaited notification for over 1,000 posts under Group-II of Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) is likely to be released in a week’s time. Notifications for a total of 6,000 posts - 1,036 under Group-II, 2,444 teacher posts and 2,500 other vacancies in residential schools - are going to be issued in a week, according to the Commission sources.

As the government is still in the process of finalizing the number of posts, an appendix notification will be issued later to add more vacancies. The last date for applying for both the notifications will mostly be the end of September and the examinations will be conducted in the last week of October and first week of November, the sources said.

It is also learnt that the recruitment will be carried out according to the zonal system which is already in practice. The procedure will begin after the indent from the various departments is taken.

Meanwhile, TSPSC has readied everything for Main examinations of Group-I for the year 2011 which will be held from September 13 to 23 and the expected number of students to appear for this examination is 25,000, sources said.

TSPSC has shortlisted 79 candidates for the recruitment of 40 posts in Ground Water Department in Telangana in 1:2 ratio. The commission directed the shortlisted candidates to appear for the verification of certificates. Total 3,827 candidates attended for the examination held in June of this year.
