ASI Who Set Himself Ablaze Due To Bosses Torture, Succumbs

HYDERABAD: Assistant Sub-inspector K Narasimha succumbed to injuries on 2nd December, nearly 10 days after he set himself ablaze in front of Balapur Police station.

Narasimha had alleged that he had taken the extreme step as he was harassed by the Balapur inspector of police P Saidulu.

He walked on to the police station and spoke to his old colleagues. Then he climbed up the water tank and doused himself with petrol and set himself ablaze.

After the incident, Mahesh Bhagwat met with the family members of the ASI and assured them of justice. He also issued orders to transfer the Sub Inspector and a constable, who was allegedly harassing the ASI.
