Mancherial: TSRTC employees’ strike which reached its 17th day on Monday, has been escalating by the day. Mancherial RTC workers and their families gathered in front of the bus depot and started protests. All the opposition parties extended their support to the RTC workers.

The police took to custody BJP and other opposition party leaders to bring control over the situation and VSN Reddy gets a heart attack and collapsed on the spot. Later, he was rushed to the nearby hospital and his health remains critical.

Congress party leaders tried to lay siege at Pragathi Bhavan to support the strike called by TSRTC workers. Senior Congress leaders including MP Revanth Reddy, TPCC working president Vikramarka, former MP Ponnam Prabhakar, Mohammed Ali Shabbir, former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy made attempts to lay siege at Pragathi Bhavan, the official residence of the CM K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Heavy police have been deployed in various routes to prevent the leaders from coming to Pragathi Bhavan and leaders like Anjan Kumar Yadav, Vikram Goud, Ramulu Naik have been taken forcibly into custody, and some leaders have been put under House arrest to prevent them from reaching Pragathi Bhavan.
