Hyderabad: On the occasion of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Formation Day, the party's working President KT Rama Rao on Saturday hoisted the TRS Flag in Telangana Bhavan.

Congratulating all the TRS soldiers who worked for the Telangana movement, KTR addressed the party cadre and said that in the 71-year history of the country, several parties have emerged but TRS is the only party that sustained with great strength.

He said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao launched the movement alone in 2001 adding that KCR had said on April 27 of the same year that Telangana state would be formed on the basis of sacrifices.

Speaking further, the TRS working president said "KCR, keeping his word at the time, resigned from the three posts of Deputy Speaker, Legislative Member, and also the party post. Over the course of 18 years, we have overcome many obstacles. Now the TRS party has become an unyielding force. Today the TRS is transformed into undeniable political power. But there is a lot more to achieve."

Stating that the public support is incredible, KTR told the party cadre, "KCR's leadership was once again chosen by the people of Telangana. There is confidence that TRS will win 16 MP seats under the leadership of KCR. The TRS flag is flying high from the remote areas of Telangana to Delhi. This has increased the responsibility for us. The public has strong faith that the welfare and development won't stop in Telangana with the presence of TRS in the state. Hence, we have to work harder to live up to people’s aspirations and expectations."

He further added, "The party is strong in every constituency. In 2001, thousands of activists joined TRS, now the party has lakhs of supporters. TRS flag will emote the victory status for every upcoming election in the state." He also expressed confidence of TRS securing the highest number of seats in the MPTC and ZPTC polls.
