Fire Breaks Out Near Siddipet Rythu Bazar

Siddipet: A massive fire broke out in the market place in Siddipet near the Rythu Bazar at the Victory intersection on Saturday afternoon. It is learnt that nearly 10 shops were destroyed in the fire. The fire is said to have originated in a bamboo shop and spread rapidly to other shops in the area.

Patients in a nearby hospital rushed out fearing for their lives. The explosion of gas cylinders in one of the shops is said to have contributed to the fire spreading rapidly.

Fire engines are at the spot trying to bring the flames under control. The authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire. Traffic has come to a standstill on the Siddipet-Medak highway.
