Hyderabad Roads To Be Restored In A Week

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) Managing Director M Dana Kishore said road restoration works to the tune of the 683 kms in city would be completed within a week. He informed that the roads would be laid within the 300 mm and below diameter, in a review meeting chaired by Arvind Kumar, Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Telangana. Works related to the 131 km road of the 160 km network have been already completed, Kishore said.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), which is responsible for these road works, has been given the required funds as well as the No Objection Certificates (NOC) for execution of the works, he said.

In view of the rainy season, all the works have to be carried out without causing inconvenience to citizens, Arvind Kumar said. The quality of these works have to be maintained to the highest standards, he directed.
